We Believe in Europe and the Power of Balance
TL;DR: „We believe in Europe and the power of balance. For cultural diversity. Against the extremes. It's not a political statement – it's an operational stance."
— Till FreitagEurope Isn't Perfect. But Europe Is the Best Thing We Have.
A continent with 44 countries, dozens of languages, centuries of conflict – and somehow we managed to build something that works. Not smoothly. Not efficiently. But functional, diverse, and fundamentally peaceful.
That's a miracle. And it's damn fragile.
For Cultural Diversity
Diversity isn't a nice-to-have. Diversity is the reason European teams often build better solutions than monocultural competitors. Different perspectives create friction. Friction creates better outcomes.
We build our teams deliberately diverse. Not for quota reasons, but because homogeneous teams are blind to their own blind spots.
Against the Extremes
No matter which direction they come from.
Not against radical ideas – we need those. But against contempt for the other side. Against the temptation to solve complex problems with simple answers. Against the tribalism that's currently eating everything.
Balance isn't a compromise. Balance is the result of hard work between two legitimate positions.
What That Means Operationally
- We work with clients across the EU – and prioritize European tools where they're technically competitive.
- We host data in the EU. By default. (See also: Independence & Sovereignty.)
- We decline projects that serve ideological extremes – any of them.
- We hire internationally on purpose. Different passports, different stories, different perspectives.
Why This Belongs in a Manifesto
Because values that only apply in good times aren't values. They're marketing.
We believe in Europe. We believe in balance. And we act on it – even when the political wind blows the other way.
More from the Manifesto
All eleven principles that define how we work. Read in any order – they reinforce each other.
